Bashu Style Roasted Fish (巴蜀烤鱼), a spicy fish with tofu. You can find this at Heihei.

Whole Braised Aubergine (鳗鱼茄子). This squishy delight is a deep-fried aubergine which has been sliced into rings, but still attached below, so you can just pick away and drag it through the sweet, slightliy spicy sauce. Find this dish at Heihei.


Chongqing Chili Chicken (辣子鸡). This juicy chicken deep-fried in batter is about as spicy as it gets. Go to Heihei for this delight.


Fish boiled in a super spicy broth (水煮魚).A classic in Chinese cuising, these soft chunks of fish will just fall apart in your mouth in an explosion of taste. Come to Jia No. 18 Stowell Street for this fishy feast.



Hot and Spicy Tender Tendons (麻辣猪蹄). Prepared in a scolding-hot pot, this dish can be found in Happiness Inn.

Shredded Pork in Hoisin Garlic Sauce. The Beijing classic is the cheaper version of the famous Beijing roasted Duck, the same sauce, the same pancakes, but less expensive. Available at Heihei, but beware that no sugar is added here, so it is not sweet unlike the Beijing original.


Shredded pork in a spicy sauce (鱼香肉丝). These shreds of meat is mixed with cucumber, carrot and mushrooms in a slightly spicy sauce. Again, no suggar is added in Heihei, unlike in Northern Chinese restaurants.


Shrimp dumplings (虾饺), this classic Chinese DimSum is served in Happiness Inn.


Sichuan Chicken with a Lip Tingling Spicy Sauce (四川口水鸡). This cold dish consists of Chicken, peanut chunks and mungbean sheets in a spicy sauce. pop into Red Diner for this one.

Spiced Dried Bean Curd (韶山香干), tasty tofu skin with chilis. Come to Hapiness Inn for this dish.



Stir-fried potato, aubergine and peppers in bean sauce (地三鲜) is a classic Northern Chinese dish. Aubergine, peppers and potatoes (sometimes with tomatoes) are drenched in a mouth-watering very garlicy soy based sauce. Enjoy this favourite in Heihei.
